We are 2 Hearts Content a married duo, consisting of Jean & Don Hills. We have been residing in Orillia, Ontario, Canada for the last 20 years. Jean is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and plays harmonica. Don plays electric, acoustic guitars, dobro, mandolin, harmonica and harmony vocals. The musical style is predominantly new country, with classic rock, pop and blues.
We have performed at shows for Orillia's Canada Day celebrations, local mall promotions, numerous Legions, Hotels in the Orillia and Muskoka areas, Fall Fairs, restaurants and Retirement Homes. We have also written and recorded promotional material for a local marina.
Our CD entitled "Hors D'Ouevres", consists of 10 original songs written by
Jean & Don Hills of 2 Hearts Content and recorded/produced at Maple Leaf Studios in Elmvale, Ontario by Jamie Williams. The song "Mama's Silver Cookie Tray" was performed at the Bluebird Cafe and Hardrock Cafe in Nashville, TN and won a Certificate of Achievement in the UNISONG Contest out of over 3,500 entries from over 40 countries.
Jean, is originally from Fredericton, NB, and previously played in the Richmond Hill, Ontario area. Don is originally from Sherbrooke, Quebec and has previously played in Newfoundland/Labrador, P.E.I., Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and the states of Massachusetts, Vermont and New Hampshire.
We bring our different backgrounds into our writing and the CD is representative of our life's experiences and ways of looking at life's everyday situations.
